In this testimony I will share my journey with BeMRCOG. Actually, I took few days to write my testimony as I wanted to find the right words to tell about this high standard teaching platform. With the dedication and extreme support from brilliant mentor, Dr. Asma Naqi, and the amazing co-moderators (Dr. Ummarah and Dr. Meeta)I managed to pass part 3 from first attempt without the need to subscribe to any other platform. I am so grateful to the effort that Asma and her team put and that lead to my success. I felt so lucky joining BeMRCOG. I subscribed first to E-course which is a self-study course that introduced me to part 3 syllabus and helped me understand the domains. Then I registered to Group Practice Course and here where the magic started. At the beginning, I thought that part 3 is all about knowledge and guidelines. However, when I went through an intensive 8 weeks of group practice, I realized that part 3 is nothing except communication and non-technical skills. Group practice is a unique course where mindset is the main domain and where everything at the end are put together and makes sense. It is indeed a life changer. This splendid high standard teaching style made my learning experience enjoyable and memorable. At the end of the group practice, I got hooked to Bemrcog and subscribed to all other courses offered by Asma. I learned from Communication Skills Course how to deal with all types of patient’s attitudes and how communication with an examiner is completely different than a consultant. I went through Information Gathering and Empathy Workshops and they helped me with the structure of the consultation. Clinical governance was a hidden area to me until I subscribed to the intellectually structured Clinical Governance Course. I definitely subscribed to Mock Circuit which surprisingly had a real simulated patient and a lay examiner. Lots of structured feedbacks were given at this circuit that helped me in my final preparation. Audiobook as well was a turning point that polished and refined my skills, helped me; understand more about the modules, what to expect from the patient or the examiner, and the most important thing how to anticipate patient’s or examiner’s questions and decode the tasks at the 2-minute preparation time of each station. Speaking Star Course helped me with my English proficiency and my responses to patients. Lots and lots of techniques and tips I gained from joining BeMRCOG. In addition, many other free courses were generously given by Dr. Asma during Covid-19 period to ease the stress of the candidates and to keep them on the right track. For my final preparation I must say that I am very thankful to Dr. Asma who conducted 1-1 Sessions and Privet Mock Circuit with me while she was traveling. She put every effort possible to push me into success. Without her I would not have made it. I enjoyed every single course and learned a lot from each one of them. BeMRCOG courses although structured to pass MRCOG, however, they added a lot to my personality, communication, and career. I would recommend and advise anyone who wants to pass part 3 to join BeMRCOG and to subscribe to the Ultimate Package, which includes most of the mentioned courses, and then not to worry as success will be on the horizon.
