Dr Rabia Ali Khan (MRCOG Part-3)

06 Dec 2018

I feel extremely thankful to Allah that today I am writing this testimonial as I always used to idealize those who wrote previous testimonials. Today I will write about my quest towards MRCOG and how I was lucky enough to have joined BEMRCOG which helped me achieve my dream degree. I did FCPS in Obstetric and Gynaecology in May 2017 but still my journey was not over because since the start of my career I was enthusiastic about being an MRCOG. After passing MRCOG part 2 in September 2017, my journey to the final step began. This was the start of the next phase where I found myself lost. I tried to gather information from various sources, started the OSCE books and PILS and had an attempt of part 3 in May 2018. But was not successful. Reason was that I didn’t understand the exam. In that phase of stress and depression I found BeMRCOG. And all of a sudden, it felt like it lighted a candle in a dark corridor and I saw the exam from a completely different perspective. Dr Asma is a brilliant mentor she inculcated the UK practice into us by giving tasks that generated reflective practice. Her style of teaching is so innovative and excellent that I started to apply her teachings in my daily life. Her teaching of 14 modules and the importance to understand them was amazing. Her e-tutorials are too good and comprehensive. She took us through practice and made things clear in how to tackle all sorts of different scenarios. I followed her advise through out and scored 86% marks in OSCE which was a moment of immense happiness for me. I will always be thankful to her for the help and support in making me reach my dream destination. May Allah bless her always. Thank you so much my mentor! Dr Rabia Ali Khan
